Ski holidays in Engelberg, Titlis
Engelberg - welcome to heaven, welcome to the summer and winter holiday paradise at 1050 meters above sea level. The village radiates the special charm of the Benedictine monastery, the wonderfully fresh countryside and an impressive mountain panorama. Cable cars make off with you in all directions, while good restaurant, mountain huts and hotels invite you to linger.
Titlis (3020 m above sea level) – Snow and Ice.
The start of a unique experience is the ride in the first revolving cable-car in the world – the Titlis Rotair – to the over 3000 metre high Titlis. Then a visit to the glacier grotto and a ride on the Ice-Flyer chairlift must definitely be included. 12 km long runs on black, red and blue pistes stretch out over the whole Titlis ski region. Even if the snow hasn’t fallen as heavily as we had hoped, there is still the artificial snow-maker that can be used on about half the 83 kilometres of runs; so nothing can prevent you from having a wonderful time.
Child slope, child lift, children’s park, rent-a-ski, boots, ski pools, rent-a-snowboard, rent-a-touring ski, rent-a-telemark ski, rent-a-sport outfitters, ski depot.
The Igloo Village at Trübsee offers a unique opportunity to experience living like the Inuits do. Spend just one or several evenings staying in an igloo set in a winter wonderland. From Christmas until Easter groups of up to 44 people (housed in 6-person igloos) can enjoy the igloo experience. Or if it’s a private evening for two that you’d like, stay in the ‚Romantic Igloo’. Should you prefer the warmth of your own bed at home, then come by the Igloo Bar for drinks or fondue and just check the place out.
