Istrian Spa Istarske Toplice is located outside the town of Livade in a peaceful area surrounded by unspoiled nature, between hilltops town Motovun and Buzet. The popular summer destination Poreč with its UNESCO-listed Euphrasian Basilica is 35 km away. All rooms come with a satellite TV, while the bathrooms are equipped with a shower. The state-of-the-art wellness centre features an open and a covered swimming pool with sulphur thermal mineral water, a 25-metre long swimming pool and a children’s swimming pool. A fitness studio, 5 different types of saunas, as well as a diverse range of massages and body treatments, inluding physical therapy, curative mud treatments and inhalations of sulphur water are on offer. Besides the benefits of the mineral water, you can go hiking, climbing and cycling on marked paths. You can also visit the mediaeval villages Motovun and Grožnjan and the smallest town in the world – Hum.

Natural therapeutic properties of water
The water of the Istrian thermal resort is sulphurous, thermal, with natural radiation and important contents of sodium, calcium, chlorine and other minerals. The temperature of the water is 32-34°C. The content of sulphur is 33-38 mg H2S/kg and radioactivity is 623 Bg/L. Such composition of water has been maintained for years with minor variations depending on the rainfall. Sulphur and natural radioactivity in the water have a beneficial effect to inflammation, reduce pain and improve circulation and metabolism.
Its extraordinary therapeutic properties distinguish the Istrian thermal resort from other thermal springs and place it at the third position of the European rank-list. Because of its strong therapeutic properties it is recommended one bath per day no more than half an hour.
