Gostišče pri Žerjavu

Gostišče pri Žerjavu (Žerjav’s inn) is located on the village square in Rateče, 3 km from the famous Planica ski jump and near Kranjska Gora. The beginnings of the inn date back to 1912, when grandmother Neža and grandfather Lojze opened the inn "pri Žerjavu". In addition to the selected drinks, our guests have a wide selection of a la carte dishes, including local specialties such as carp from Rateče, homemade noodles with mushrooms, fried chicken, walnut stew, Carniolan sausage, winter pork, baked bread in the bread oven and much more.

Gostišče pri Žerjavu offers 6 rooms of different capacities. All rooms have a private bathroom, TV and Wi-Fi.

There are many sights worth visiting near the inn, of course you should not miss Planica - ski jumps, Triple border between Slovenia, Italy and Austria, Tamara Valley-Triglav National Park, Julian Alps, Lake Ledine, Nadiza waterfall, Zelenci - spring of the Sava, waterfall Crne vode, Belopeško and Mangart lakes, Vršič pass 1611 m, Russian chapel, church of Sv. Tomaž, Kajžnek's house-museum.

In the summer months, there are many activities at your disposal, such as cycling, hiking, walking, mushroom picking, summer sledding, golf, fishing, and children can go to Kekec's country or to the Dwarves.

Even in the winter months, the Gostišče pri Žerjavu is lively. There is cross-country skiing, skiing, sledding, climbing on frozen waterfalls, natural ice rink and artificial ice rink.
