Nestled in the Southern Alps, close to the Switzerland border dominated by Mont Blanc is the ski resort of Chamonix. Famous for hosting the very first Winter Olympics in 1924, it is one of the most well-known ski resorts in the world.

Chamonix boasts a wide range of shops, with some exquisite delicatessens selling a extensive range of local wines, cheeses and chocolates. There are also plenty of fashion boutiques and jewellery stores
