Arabba is part of one of the most spectacular and attractive ski area in the world: the Sellaronda, which is, with its 40 km of slopes, the important link for the 4 surrounding Dolomite passes: Campolongo, Gardena, Sella and Pordoi. From the centre of the village the skier can easily get to the modern skilifts and slopes which are among the most famous in the Dolomites.

Arabba ski holidays offers visitors a good variety of skiing at all levels with nursery slopes for beginners and ski runs leading back to the village with a total of 62 kms of downhill skiing. There is plenty to keep the intermediate amused, but Arabba is mostly noted for its challenging slopes for expert skiers and snowboarders. Here you will find exceptional steep runs together with good snow coverage and direct access to the Marmolada Glacier. There is a Ski Kindergarten which gives children under eight a free ski pass.

New for the 2012/2013 Season is a Snowpark which will be located within the Sellaronda skicarousel, part of the Dolomiti Superski.

Apres Ski & Nightlife

Not known for its lively nightlife, Arabba none-the-less has more than 20 bars - many of them parts of hotels or restaurants - to choose from. Peter's Bar is one of the more popular whilst the Pub La Stube near the Hotel Portevescovo tends to attract most of the 'boarding fraternity. Although there is no night club here the Sporthotel Arabba has a popular Austrian bar that opens at 9pm and stays open until late; live music is performed here regularly. The nearest late night discotheque is in Corvara.

Shopping in Arabba is not only a pastime, it is also a means of getting to know the Ladin culture. The many specialist food shops are well stocked with typical and genuine products from the region, including speck, salami, cheese, jam, and fruits of the forest grappas. The artistic handicraft shops are also worth a visit. In them you will find typical handmade cloths and sculptures. The sportswear shops, which are an old tradition, offer a complete range of high quality products and, more importantly, advice and assistance from qualified staff.
