On the outskirts of Bad Hofgastein, our Hotel Zum Stern is located on a hill in a quiet location. From our certified hiking hotel you only need a 15-minute walk to reach the center of Bad Hofgastein and the famous Alpentherme.

Our 26 romantic rooms and studios, furnished with solid wood furniture, as well as 13 junior suites invite you to relax and linger. You can catch a fantastic view of the Gastein mountains from our panoramic terrace.
In our in-house, 850m² wellness area, everything your heart desires awaits you. Let yourself be pampered with muscle-relieving massages and relax in our sauna area, the steam baths or in our panoramic indoor pool with adjacent sunbathing lawn.

For athletes, we have a versatile fitness room in our hotel, while beauty lovers enjoy individual consultation and treatment in our cosmetic room.

Culinary highlights are offered by our kitchen with regional products from local organic farmers. Wine lovers will find a wine cellar with a variety of maturing Austrian as well as international wines.

Winter in Gastein
In the nearby ski center Angertal with a 10,000m² practice area your children will learn skiing in a playful way. After an exciting day of skiing, the little ones head to the sauna area built especially for children. A horse-drawn sleigh ride through the Gastein Valley will make the eyes of young and old shine.
While your children are in good hands at the ski school, you can take your turns in the renowned ski areas of Salzburger Land or enjoy guided snowshoe hikes on the winter hiking trails.

Summer in Gastein
In summer, you can comfortably reach the playground with bouncy cushions, exciting climbing net pyramid and challenging but child-friendly via ferrata at an altitude of 2050m with the Schlossalm cable car. Downhill is action-packed, with a descent on the mountain scooters. Young and old can enjoy themselves on guided hikes on the extensive alpine paths of Gastein.
