At 1140 m altitude, the Savoyard village of Les Carroz is made for families. Being classified as a "P´tits Montagnards" resort (literally, Little Mountain Folk) this means that your children are welcomed and catered for by professionals. Whether you are in the resort at the foot of the pistes or in one of the hamlets, the free shuttle service drops you off at the base of the gondola. There is plenty of snow and the ski area encompasses 265 km of runs across 5 resorts and linked villages, the Grand Massif. Aside from skiing and snowboarding, the resort offers a mutitude of activities (ice skating, snow-shoeing, dog sledging, snowmobiles, etc...) as well as hot air balloon. Les Carroz is the only resort to have its own logo-ed balloon and pilot specializing in mountain flights.
