Chamrousse "la battante", the name that became world famous born out of the 1968 Winter Olympic games. With a dominating view of Grenoble from 1700m, Chamrousse is wonderfully situated at the south end of the Belledonne mountain chain in the Alps. Located 30 minutes from Grenoble and 1 hour from both Lyon and Valence, Chamrousse is easily accessible by two well kept roads from Grenoble. There is alse direct access from Paris, Lille and London by rain on the high speed train.
