Tarvisio, a Ladies' World Cup ski resort, that hosted also the Winter University Games in 2003, offers a wide range of facilities for alpine skiing (also by night) as well as for cross-country skiing thanks to a 25 km alpine trail system as well as cross-country rings reaching a total length of nearly 60 km. It is the ideal starting point for Winter sports in the Alpine region stretching along the State border between the Austrian town of Villach and the Slovenian Kranjska Gora. Tarvisio is located in a pure, skier-friendly environment with a particular climate of very long winter seasons and excellent snow also on low altitudes.

Tarvisio offers a 32 km long trail system, on some of the slopes, such as the "B" slope of the Priesnig, the "Florianca" and the "Di Prampero" of Camporosso, you can also ski by night. The new ski lifts, the new tracks and links allow very comfortable transfers with skis from the main town to the "Di Prampero" trail and vice versa, of course. The cross-country rings, offering different difficulty levels, reach a total length of 60 km.
Moreover, the pumps of the whole artificial snow programme system have been recently strengthened.

Tarvisio offers moreover a sleddog school, an indoor climbing gym, a mushing school, telemark facilities, the ice stadium of Pontebba and trekking with snow shoes to its visitors in this wonderful corner of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
