Hotel zur Dorfschmiede

The Hotel Zur Dorfschmiede sits at the very heart of the Hinterglemm area. It is only one hundred metres from the cable car to the Reiterkogel area. The ski tracks are 1,500 metres from the property. One can enjoy and marvel over the stunning views of the pretty Salzburg Alps. In the winter, the area is transformed into a magical snowy winter wonderland. Visitors can enjoy skiing, snow boarding, and more. In the summertime, the area is perfect for hiking and cycling in the gorgeous natural mountain scenery. The gondola is a great way to enjoy a birds' eye view of the surroundings. The river provides great water based activities, such as kayaking, rafting, and canoeing. There is a climbing centre nearby, as well as a golf course.

The lovely hotel has 48 rooms, contained within a traditional Austrian mountain hut. Wooden interiors create a rustic and cosy atmosphere. Large windows allow plenty of light into the rooms, as well as allowing guests to gaze out at the pretty surroundings. There are single and double rooms available, as well as extra special honeymoon suites. All rooms have a TV, telephone and mini bar.

The gourmet restaurant prepares different dishes and meals that are sure to satisfy all tastes. Local specialities and international favourites are both on the menu. There is also a cool pub in which one can relax with their favourite drink. The hotel offers ski and bike storage and also sports equipment can be rented. For relaxation, there is a world class wellness centre, complete with sauna, Turkish bath, indoor swimming pool, a separate children's pool and a cave for superior relaxation. One can also enjoy a range of beauty treatments and massages. Kids will love the area that is dedicated especially for their enjoyment; an area of 350 square metres houses a children’s corner, cinema, cooking corner, baby's corner with a changing table and a bottle heater. Day care and animation programs, children's fashion shows, and treasure hunts are amongst the many activities available for little ones.
