The Hostel Cukrarna is located in the centre of Slovenia's Kranj, only 7 kilometres away from Ljubljana Airport, and 20 kilometres away from the city itself. Kranj sits between the capital city and Bled, with both being easy to reach by car. The Kokra River is close by. The lively local weekly markets can be experienced only 100 metres away from the property.

The hostel offers modern double rooms with private or shared bathroom, and dormitory style rooms that can accommodate six and eight people with shared bathrooms. All feature neutral decor. Bed linen is included in the price.

Within the building there is a lounge, a communal kitchen, and a dining room. There is a sunny terrace that comes complete with garden furniture. Ski equipment storage facilities are available. Laundry services are offered. In the summer season, guests can take advantage of free bike hire; a deposit must be paid.
