In summer, Haus Schmitten has a BBQ and outdoor seating for guests. The mountain pastures are covered in wildflowers and offer 360° views of breathtaking alpine vistas. In the summer, the region is a popular spot for hiking and walking along one of the many trails of the Kitsteinhorn, Maiskogel and Schmittenhöhe mountains.  There are plenty of mountain Alms and Gasthäuser on the Mountains where you can relax, soak in the panoramas and the summer sun while you enjoy one of the many Pinzgauer specialities. One of the best ways to explore Zell am See in summer is by bike on one of the many paths that meander through the pastoral mountain scenery.  There are also many mountain-bike and freeride tours and trails, catering from easy to difficult terrains. Kitzsteinhorn, Schmittenhöhe, Sigmund Thun-Gorge, Kaprun High Mountain Reservoirs, Krimml Waterfalls (Europe's highest waterfall) and the High Alpine Großglockner Mountain Road are only a short journey from Haus Schmitten. The price quote is per night.
