Livigno has earned the reputation of being a party resort, a fun place to ski and a cheap place to go. Situated in Lombardy, Northern Italy, with the Dolomites bordering it to the south and the Alps to the North, it is also very close to the Swiss border and enjoys the status of being a tax free community.
Livigno ski holidays are almost guaranteed to be snow sure due to the village's high altitude and it boasts good skiing facilities for all levels and abilities. These are a total of 34 lifts comprising of 16 chairs, 14 drags, and 4 gondola cable cars. Cross country lovers also have access to 40 km of challenging trails. Snowboarders are frequently drawn to Livigno thanks to its 70 km of boarder friendly slopes and lively party atmosphere.
Snowboarders, Livigno offer two different snow parks, one at the Mottolino and one in Carosello. In Carosello you will find 1 bag jump, 3 rails and 4 fun box and in the village, at the start of the gondola Tagliede, there are 4 rails and a jump.

Livigno tax free status extends to the bars and so more often than not you'll find people ordering fun cocktails throughout the day. The nightlife is very good with a large choice of venues including video bars such as Marco's, karaoke bars like Bivio and discotheques such as Cielo and Kokodi. There is a good selection of bars and restaurants offering a mixture of traditional and modern Italian cuisine.
